The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has officially opened the first-ever clinic at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), aiming to provide comprehensive healthcare services to staff and enhance their overall well-being.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Amoakohene highlighted that the establishment of the clinic is a reflection of his administration's dedication to addressing the health needs of ARCC employees.

He stressed that a healthy workforce is key to productivity and the effective functioning of government operations.

The new clinic will offer primary healthcare services, including general consultations, treatment for minor illnesses, regular medical checkups, and health education for staff members. The initiative is designed to reduce absenteeism, enhance efficiency, and foster a supportive working environment where employees can thrive.

Dr. Amoakohene assured that his administration will continue to implement policies and initiatives aimed at improving staff welfare, contributing to a healthier and more productive workforce. He also urged employees to take full advantage of the new facility and prioritise their health as part of the broader regional development agenda.

“We have gathered here this morning in a ceremonial manner to open the clinic first of its kind for the ARCC. When I assumed office as Regional Minister and interacted with staff and also reviewed previous incidents, among others, it became evident that the health needs of the staff of the ARCC need to be one of our priorities because in the past issues have happened that where we didn’t have the luxury to transport the staff to the hospital before the untold happened."

"We realised that the workload of the ARCC and the demand on the staff here required that their health needs also be taken care of,” he explained.
