The Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA) has distributed footballs and other equipment to support the 12 Districts in the Region ahead of the new Juvenile season.

The items included 100 footballs provided by the GFA, 100 referee shirts, 100 shorts, 100 stockings, 60 pieces of flags for Assistant Referees, 30 whistles and 30 yellow and red cards.

The ARFA have also intensified the training of young boys and girls for the ‘Catch Them Young’ refereeing policy.

‘‘We feel it’s our responsibility to support our members’’ Regional Chairman Osei Tutu Agyemang told ghanafa.org

‘’The clubs need our support to survive so we decided to distribute some of the footballs from the GFA to them to prepare ahead of the new season.

‘’The President (Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku) has already mentioned that this year’s Juvenile Leagues will be handled by young referees from the Catch Them Young policy so we want to prepare them, train them and make them ready ahead of time.

‘’We will also give them organizational grants to support their work before the start of the season’’ Mr. Agyemang added
