AshantiGold SC have started preparations for their upcoming CAF Confederations Cup campaign in Africa.

The club have submitted  proposal to the GFA and government  about starting group training and on Wednesday players and technical staff of the team had their samples taken for COVID-19 test at the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR) in Tropical Medicine.

Test results released to the club's management have been released to the club and all persons who were tested turned out to be negative.

According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, no player or coaching staff member at AshantiGold tested positive for COVID-19 when the results for the test done on Wednesday was given to management.

"Thank God when the results came,we all tested negative" the source told Oyerepa FM.

AshantiGold will now wait for the all clear from the government through the Ministry of Health and the COVID-19 team before proceeding with group training.
