Aspiring Central Regional for the NDC Mr Kakrah Yalley on Saturday converted his Land Cruiser into an ambulance to avoid an embarrassment that nearly rocked leaders of the party at a funeral in the central region.

Mr Yalley had to dismantle the back seat of his car to be able to convey the corpse of madam Gloria Hammond to the cemetry at a time the ambulance was no where to be found.

The expected ambulance had developed an eleventh hour fault, leaving the entire gathering in disappointment as time was running out carry the body out of the Church, where burial service had been concluded.

It took the singular swift intervention of Mr Yalley to bring the situation into normalcy as his action court people gaze in awe when all hopes seemed lost.

Saturday's funeral had attracted the presence of the Vice Presidential candidates of the party in 2020 election, Prof Jean Nana Opoku Agyeman, including other party top brass like the National Organiser Mr Joshua Akamba.

His singular move has been hailed by many who were at the scene to observe the final funeral right of madam Gloria Hammond, who is the late mother of the NDC's Cape Coast North Women Organizer - Comrade Ophelia Sampson to the funeral venue.

Kakra Yalley, who is a brother to Ambassador Sam P Yalley, twice contested and lost the Regional Chairmanship position.

He also lost in the party's parliamentary primaries for the 2020 elections.

But his loyalty to the people of the Central Region and the NDC was starkly brought to bare  on the day as the Gyegyeano community felt touched by his gesture.

He is the secretary of the NDC Accra Caucus and a former president of SSNIT senior staff Association and will be making a third attempt for the Central Rgional Chairmanship position.

The party was represented at the Funeral by a delegation led by Hon Theophilus Aidoo Mensah and supported by Madam Sarah Yeboah, Eric Essuah and Kwesi Dawood
