While many of us are still talking through the traumatic ending of Avengers: Infinity War with our therapists, Chris Hemsworth is now warning that we don't know the half of it. Literally.

"If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely," Hemsworth said in a recent Esquire interview. Avengers 4 — or Infinity War Part II — comes out in May 2019.

He went on to say, "That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique—not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys."

There are endless theories on how the next major Marvel crossover will address (or undo) the mind-blowing deaths of Infinity War. Some believe the upcoming Captain Marvel, who got the nod in the after credits scene, will set up some time travel shenanigans to bring everyone back. Most predict the ending is just part of a larger plan. Others even posit the reverse psychology theory, where everyone who appeared to "die" is actually alive while the ones who "lived" are dead.

For us, we just want everyone to come back with a beard or not come back at all. On the facial hair front, Hemsworth wishes to remind the public that he was the first Hollywood Chris to go for scruff. "I was the original, if that means anything. [Chris Evans] certainly, I feel like, copied me. Quite cheaply."

But as far as what will actually happen in Avengers 4, Hemsworth promises it will not disappoint:

The second one I’m probably even more excited about. Just for people to see. I just think it’s another step again. Each step we seem to take with these films, I’ve loved the fact that there’s been growth and evolution and it continues to surprise people as opposed to sort of flatlining, which was obviously always a fear—that they’d run out of ideas or run dry of creative excitement. For me, this whole experience has been incredible. In particular the last one.

Well color us intrigued, you beautiful angel/pirate baby with incredible arm muscles. We might be more ready for the shocker this time, but we trust Marvel now more than ever to get it right.
