Members of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday embarked on a peace walk to sensitize the public on the need to ensure peace during the 2016 elections.

The 12-kilometre walk, organized by the Tertiary Institution Educational Network (TEIN) of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), started from the premises of GIMPA at Achimota through Legon and some principal streets of the Constituency and ended at the starting point.

Mr Delali Kwasi Brempong, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency, who led the walk, urged the constituents to demonstrate a high level of tolerance to ensure continuous peace in the Constituency.

He urged the constituents to vote massively for the NDC to enable the party to wrest the seat from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)

Mr Brempong said when voted into power, a Constituency Education Trust Fund would be established to help deprived and marginalized parents, who find it difficult to meet the educational needs of their children.

Mr Ibrahim Jajah, Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Chairman of the NDC tasked the party supporters to work harder than before to ensure the total development of the nation.

Mr Benjamin Lartey, President of the GIMPA TEIN commended the participants for their enthusiasm and urged them to continue supporting the party.
