Black Star player Baba Abdul Rahman seems to be drawing the curtain down on his nightmarish two year stay with London based club Chelsea.

French ligue 1 giants Olympique de Marseille are in advance talks to secure his permanent move from parent club Chelsea.

Baba who had been nursing an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained while playing at the 2017 Afcon joined French side Stade Reims on loan in January while impressing with his performance.

The left back joined Chelsea from Bundesliga side Augsburg in the summer of the 2016/2017 season but played sparingly for the blues before embarking on loans spells to Schalke 04 twice and in January to Stade de Reims.

Andre Villa Boas's side who will be playing in  Europe's second tier competition want competition for regular left back Jordan Amavi.

The Stade Valedrome side are expected to pay 5 million euros for his services, a player Chelsea paid 14 million pounds for some two years ago.

Baba made ten Ligue 1 appearances for loan club Stade Reims scoring a famous goal and providing an assist in his teams 3-1 defeat of eventual league winners PSG.
