Germany and Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng will be making a trip to Ghana, the country of his father, for the first time.

Born to a Ghanaian father and a German mother in Berlin, the 29-year-old won the Fifa World Cup with Die Mannschaft in 2014.

“Special trip ahead… can‘t wait to visit Ghana for the very first time ???????????????? #roots #africa”, he wrote Instagram.

Jerome is the younger brother of Kevin Prince Boateng who has played 15 times for the Black Stars, scoring two goals in the process.
