Reports in South Africa indicated that Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison was of interest to some clubs.

Black Leopards were linked to the acquisition of the creative midfield talent but coach of the side Luc Eymael has poured cold water on the story only describing it as rumours at this stage.

“We have not yet sat with the management, so all these things that you (media) are writing (about players to sign) are rumours only,” said Eymael.

Following their 3-0 loss to Chippa United on Wednesday night, Leopards prepare to host Golden Arrows in their next match on Saturday at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Agent of the Ghanaian International Paul Mujuni, confirmed his client is wanted by current Leopards trainer Luc Eymael a coach he has previously worked with in the past.

Mujuni told KickOff: "Black Leopards are interested in my player Bernard Morrison as coach Luc Eymael knows him from AS Vita.

"We also had interest from Zesco of Zambia and Gor Mahia of Kenya, but we will settle for the one here as the player still has a lot to offer in the PSL.

"He is referred to as Maradona. He is a free agent."

Having joined Pirates in 2016 from DR Congo outfit AS Vita Club, after the Buccaneers beat Mamelodi Sundowns to his signature, the Ghanaian struggled for regular game-time at the Soweto giants.
