Radio and TV personality, Jay Foley has eulogized Highlife singer Bisa Kdei for his ingenuity way of making good highlife music.

About a year ago, Foley took on the role of managing Award-winning highlife Bisa Kdei’s career.

The experience he says has made him love and appreciate the music genre a lot more than he did prior to working with Kdei.

“Bisa’s skill and creativity in storytelling with highlife music is impeccable and has opened me up to a whole new level of appreciation for the genre,” explains Foley who was trained in music production by legendary Ghanaian music producer Hammer.

“I’ve been on the radio with him (Bisa) around the world and the love he attracts makes me want to learn all there is about authentic Ghanaian music.”

Foley’s mantra “actions speak louder than words” guides him on his journey of exposing Bisa Kdei’s craft to the ‘powers that be’ on the world music scene.

He is credited with making mainstream the music of the likes of 4×4, Lousika, Keche and many more. As the owner of 2131 Records, he has given quite a number of unknown acts the opportunity to grow their craft.
