Former Asante Kotoko maestro Steven Tico Tico Oduro has stated that the founder and leader of Godsway Chapel International, Bishop Daniel Obinim was a better footballer than him.

The pair lived in the same house at Akwatia line in Kumasi while growing up and the Kotoko midfielder says he is surprised the now preacher never took football serious.

According to Oduro, Bishop Daniel Obinim was so good a footballer that he always wanted to be in the same team as him whenever they were playing football.

“I was born at Akwatia Line, the same house as Bishop Daniel Obinim who is a man of God today. He was our next-door neighbour and other guys but he (Obinim) was really a good footballer but I don’t know why he quit football but he was so good at playing,” he made this revelation in an interview with Kumasi Nyame as reported by myfabulousonline.com

“Obinim was a better player than I was so anytime we play I wanted to be part of his team else I won’t play because if I go the opposite side they will score us”
