The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah who predicted the Ghana Black Stars will lift the 2019 AFCON trophy says it was only his view formed about the subject, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

The Black Stars was booted out of the tournament after failing to secure qualification to the quarter-finals, losing 4-5 on penalties to Tunisia.

But the man of God giving his thoughts on the Stars unexpected exit insisted he never said on record that the national senior side was going to bring home the AFCON trophy as claimed by people.

“God has not spoken to me about football. Nowhere did God reveal to me that the Black Stars will win the trophy so those making the claims should bring evidence to support claims I prophesied that”, he revealed on Accra-based Okay FM.

A video emerged on social media in which he was heard saying “Black Stars will play on Monday and will win…Hallelujah…if it ends in a draw there will be penalties and our opponents will hit the post”, he made a sudden u-turn under the guise it was his personal opinion.

“We have prophecies and opinion sharing and I don’t think that I have to stand in my church and wish the Black Stars lose in the match against the Tunisians; otherwise I don’t love my country. I never said that God has revealed to me that Ghana Black Stars will score Tunisia and win the AFCON”, he denied.
