Black Stars coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor  and Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Bernhard Lippert were at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to watch the the Mantse derby between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics.

It was among the headliner games for the weekend as there was a lot of talk about both teams before the game.

But undoubtedly, former Ghana U-20 midfielder Gladson Awako was the star of the show on Saturday as he scored a goal and was very influential for the away side.

The Black Stars coach and the technical director were on a scouting mission of the local game for the Black Stars who will be in action in March in the AFCON 2021 qualifier.

Gladson Awako who was voted for as the player of the month for December in the Ghana Premier League was among the brightest on the day.

Two quick goals from Awako and Maxwell Abbey Quaye was enough for the Dade boys to silence their city neighbours in the crunch derby.

The Ghanaian trainer has shown his penchant for handing local players the opportunity in the Black Stars with Kotoko's Christopher Nettey benefitting from the last qualify against Sudan.
