Ghana coach Avram Grant remains optimistic of a good outing from his players despite admitting that his side has not prepared well for the game.

The former Chelsea boss I not happy with the rush-hour preparations for the game moments after the AFCON clash with Rwanda in Accra but says his boys are ready.

“We played a game on Saturday and had to come to Russia right afterwards. We did not have enough time to train but I am confident my boys will give a good game,” Grant told the Russian media.

“The Russia team is new because only seven of the players that played the Euros are still with the squad. They have a new coach and have played only one game so far under him.

“I watched that game against Turkey and I know they have a good team,” he added.

Ghana played the Amavubi on Saturday before leaving for Russia for the friendly which comes off tonight.

The friendly is part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda next month.
