The Black Stars will be without key players Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger.

The quartet has been ruled out due to injuries sustained before and during their recent match against Angola.

Alidu Seidu and Gideon Mensah, who were both subject to late fitness tests ahead of the Angola match, have been deemed unfit for further participation following post-match medical evaluations.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, both injured during the Angola fixture, will miss out due to significant issues identified through MRI scans conducted in Accra.

Although Ayew managed to play the full match, his knee injury requires immediate attention.

Issahaku, who was substituted in the first half, will also be returning to his club alongside Ayew on Sunday for rehabilitation after discussions between Dr. Prince Pambo, the Black Stars’ medical chief, and Leicester City’s medical staff.

These injuries pose a challenge for Coach Otto Addo as the Black Stars prepare to face Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

The team will aim to adapt and secure a win to conclude their qualifying campaign positively.
