A management Committee member of the Black Stars, Jones Alhassan Abu has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus and has been quarantined in Turkey as a result.

The Executive Director of Tamale City FC  was part of the Ghana delegation that left for the the two friendly matches played in Turkey between Mali and Qatar.

Reports have been circulating in the local media that the experienced football administrator has testes positive for the coronavirus and has been in left isolating in Turkey.

The rest of the traveling party who tested negative have left Turkey for Ghana while Jones Abu Alhassan will remain in the European country as he undergoes treatment after Monday's game against Turkey.

The Blacks Stars recovered from last Friday's 3 nil setback against Mali to beat 2022 World Cup host and reigning Asian Champions Qatar by 5-1.

These two friendly matches forms part of preparations for next month's double header AFCON 2022 qualifiers against  Sudan.

Ghana are leaders of Group C with six points. The 2-0 and 1-0 victories came in matches against South Africa and Sao Tome respectively.
