Some  aggrieved persons have petitioned the board chairman of the National Sports Authority(NSA) to remove the Director General of the organization, Prof. Peter Twumasi from office.

In a seven page letter sighted by, they have outlined some eleven points which they believe should result in the removal from office of the former KNUST lecturer.

The letter which has been signed by two staff members of the NSA have copied the Sports Ministry, The Director General of the NSA, Chief Director of the Ministry and Divisional Union Chairman of the NSA.

According to the aggrieved staff, a Toyota Hilux vehicle that was acquired by the NSA one of which was used by the the Director General got missing under mysterious circumstances whiles on an official duty in Kumasi.

They also allege that the Director General has been drawing double salary from his previous job as a KNUST lecturer and also as the DG of NSA.

Among others they have cited the DG for procurement breaches as he sole bought Veronica buckets, dust bins for the Accra and Kumasi Stadiums when the facility was under lock during the COVID -19 period in 2020.

They also allege that the DG has misused funds, he practices divide and rule, renting of official vehicle for private purposes without due process among several others.
