Black Stars fast-rising sensation, Christopher Bonsu Baah is expected to cut short his holidays and leave the shores Ghana on Tuesday for Belgium to complete his move to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah— a club which has his compatriot, Jerry Afriyie, who is on loan at Spanish side, CD Lugo in their books.
Belgium Pro League side, KRC Genk have accepted an initial bid in the region of €16.2m for the pacy winger as they prepare to cash in on the youngster this summer.
The 20-year-old will pen down a four-year contract with the Saudi Arabian side with an option to extend for a further year.
Bonsu Baah's medical is scheduled for Friday, June 27, in Madrid before finalizing the terms of the long-term contract and appending his signature to become an official player for the club which placed fourth in the just concluded 2024/2025 Saudi Pro League season.
After the scheduled medicals, the former Shooting Stars winger will join his new teammates in the Netherlands for pre-season before eventually heading to Saudi Arabia for the 2025/26 season.
Since arriving in Genk in 2023 from Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg, the efficient winger has made 90 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
The winger only made his debut for the Black Stars during the Unity Cup in May where he caught the eyes of so many football fans, scouts and other football enthusiasts as he unleashed his abilities that had made everyone else become convinced of his potential.
He starred in the games against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago, where Ghana finished third after losing to Nigeria in the “Jollof Derby” in the semifinal before thumping Trinidad 4-0 in the third-place playoff game.
Bonsu Baah was being courted by newly promoted English Premier League side, Sunderland ahead of the new season, but the player and his entourage preferred a move to Saudi Arabia with a keen hope of making a return to Europe later.
