Ghana international Jordan Ayew will make his Crystal Palace debut in today’s Premier League game against Southampton.

Manager Roy Hodgson has turned to Ayew to lead the line at Selhurst Park this afternoon in the absence of Wilfred Zaha with compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp also named in the starting line up.

The striker joined The Eagles on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day, about 24 hours to the start of the new Premier League season on August 10.

Last season, the 26-year-old made 36 topflight appearances, involving 33 starts, and scored seven times for Swansea.

His exploits, which left him as the club's top scorer, though, could not save the Jack Army from relegation.
