News reaching ghanaguardian.com indicates that former Black Stars striker Manuel Junior Agogo has passed on Thursday morning in a UK hospital.

The former Nottingham Forest, Zamalek striker suffered a stroke and has been undergoing rehabilitation.

The 40-year-old who operated a gymnasium after his retirement in a video he shared some years ago the former striker recounted how his right hand was now immobile after suffering the deadly ailment.

Junior Agogo featured prominently for the Black Stars at the 2008 Afcon where they won bronze after defeating Ivory Coast in Kumasi.

He was capped 27 times scoring 11 goals for his motherland.
