It has been an overwhelming couple of days since the voting on December 7.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (the flagbearer) of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has just received a call from President John Dramani Mahama to concede defeat in the 2016 presidential election ghanaguardian.com can confirm.

The NPP's presidential candidate has been in a comfortable lead since polls closed on Wednesday and has been projected by all major media houses to win.

Now all that is left is for the EC to come out and make it official.
