Deputy General Secretary for Confederation of African Football (CAF) in charge of development and competitions, Anthony Baffoe has urged Ghana to step up preparations for the upcoming Africa Women’s Championship.

The Local Organizing Committee are behind time with regards to the completion of the Stadia and other infrastructures required for the hosting of the Championship.

The tournament will start on November 17th to December 1st.

“I need to be blunt, they are behind if I say they I mean Ghana. They need to step up preparation,” the former Black Stars defender told BBC Africa.

Ghana is hosting the tournament for the first and are joined by 9 times champions Nigeria.

South Africa, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Cameroon and Algeria will all participate in the competition.
