Caleb Yirenkyi shines with double assist in Nordsjaelland rout

Ghanaian youngster Caleb Yirenkyi delivered a standout performance for FC Nordsjaelland, grabbing a brace of assists in the second half as the Danish SuperLiga side thumped FC Fredericia 5-0.
Fresh off an impressive outing with the Black Stars in the Kirin Cup during the international break, the 19-year-old, being on the radar of top European clubs showed up greatly in the game on Sunday afternoon where he had 80 minutes in the tank as he assisted Ivorian international, Levy Nene, who also grabbed a brace of goals in the big win. His first goal, which doubled their lead on the 17th minute, was assisted by Ghanaian youngster, Prince Amoako Junior.
The highly-rated teenager has now recorded 4 assists and 1 goal in 15 league appearances this season, underlining his growing importance to the team’s attacking play.
Yirenkyi’s compatriot Prince Amoako Junior who also got on the board with an assist, capped off a dominant display by the Ghanaian duo in Denmark.
Yirenkyi, 19, has been tiipped as one of the best rising midfielders in the world, as the Ghanaian has is being closely monitored by English giants, Arsenal and AFC Bournemouth and with him playing a huge role in Ghana's final games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the youngster will prove a great asset for the nation at the Mundial in North America 2026.
The performance further enhances Yirenkyi’s reputation as one of Ghana’s brightest prospects in Europe, with his creativity and vision proving decisive in Nordsjaelland’s attacking setup.
