Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi will be back onto the field  after making a quick recovery from his Achilles tendon injury he suffered in April in a Premier League game against Burnley.

The bright light from a seemingly gloomy 2018/2019 season will this evening Friday 13th September 2019, alongside academy graduate Reece James play in a Premier League 2 fixture against Brighton at Stamford Bridge.

In many cases, Achilles tendon injuries can keep a player out as long as 12 months or longer, but Hudson-Odoi appears to have healed faster than anticipated and will  take the field again just five months  from the injury.

His return will hand Chelsea coach Frank Lampard a huge boost after enduring a mixed start to his Chelsea managerial career having recorded a win, two draws and a 4 nil trashing.

The Blues will hope the starlet still has the mental fortitude to quickly heal from the injury in the mind and will be back to his blistering pace full of skill and trickery to help them climb higher the table than where they are currently languishing.

Chelsea's away game against Wolves may come too early for him and will have to be gradually eased into the team as news swell of his imminent contract extension been announced soon.
