Newcastle forward Christian Atsu has set his sights on a strong return from the hamstring injury that forced him to pull out of Ghana’s latest international friendlies.

The winger is recovering from a knee injury which has ruled him out of action for over a month.

The Ghanaian enjoyed a stellar campaign at St. James Park, guiding them to a 10th place finish in the English Premier League after returning a season ago.

“I can assure you I will be better than last season for sure, and I believe when am playing the fans will see a big difference in me,” he said.

The 26-year-old played 26 games and scored twice for the Toons.
