Ghanaian prodigy, Christopher Bonsu Baah is on the verge of concluding a high-profile swoop to the Saudi Pro League, Al Qadsiah FC being the destination of the Ghanaian winger, in what could become one of Genk’s most lucrative outgoing deals in recent years, as reported by Joy Sports.

The 20-year-old who joined the Belgian Pro League side from Norwegian outfit, Sarpsborg two seasons ago, has attracted a significant interest from Al Qadsiah, with negotiations at an advanced stage as per Joy Sports.

Whilst the move is not yet finalised, it is understood that the former Shooting Stars player is likely to feature in the fast-growing Saudi top flight next season. He is expected to fly to Saudi Arabia to complete the deal within the next 24 hours.

“Though the exact fee remains undisclosed, Genk are expected to receive a significant sum—far exceeding the €5.2 million they paid for his services in 2023.” Adamu Benin Abdul Karim of Joy Sports stated.

Bonsu Baah is under contract at KRC Genk until the summer of 2028 but has become a pivotal figure of the squad over the past two seasons due to his consistency and promising performances.

He has made 90 appearances across all competitions, netting five (5) goals and providing seven (7) assists for the Belgian side.

“Sources suggest the forward may spend a season or two in Saudi Arabia before making a return to European football, with age still on his side and further development expected.” Adamu added.
