Managing Director of Accra based Citi FM and Citi TV, Samuel Attah-Mensah, widely known within media circles as Sammens, has reportedly resigned as the CEO of the Coastal Development Authority (CDA).
Mr. Attah Mensah who was appointed into office six months ago by President Akufo-Addo to serve at one of the three newly created development authorities that were passed into law in November 2017.
These three Development Authorities, the Coastal, Middle Belt and Northern Development Authorities, are tasked with the implementation of the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).
According to the Herald newspaper, Mr Attah Mensah left the post after he allegedly fell out with his superintending minister, Mavis Hawa Koomson, who is in charge of Special Development Initiatives.
The paper reported on Wednesday, 26 September that the minister has replaced Mr Attah-Mensah with one Emmanuel Affram Amin, one of Sammens’ four deputies who were appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Attah-Mensah is allegedly unhappy with the management style of the sector minister. He is also reported to have concerns about the awarding of certain contracts.
The presidency announced Mr Attah-Mensah’s appointment on 13 April 2018, with four deputies: Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Bob-Charles Agbontor, Mona Gertrude Effah and Emmanuel Affram Anim.
