West Bromwich Albion have been dealt a big blow after Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri today confirmed at his press conference Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp is staying at the club.

West Brom are  finding it difficult to give up the chase for the wide man, although their £12m bid for the man being rejected.

The Baggies are preparing another  better offer for the Ghanaian international.

He wants more playing time after starting 14 league games last season and is keen on a switch to The Hawthorns but Ranieri is still firm about his decision that he will remain at the King Power Stadium.

"He stays with us, he is very happy. It is always good news. I am happy when I have this position, a lot of players. It is important to have a lot of quality players to choose from" he said.
