Coach Michael Osei has revealed he wants out of financially stricken Division One League side Star Madrid FC where he currently coaches.

He has been at the lower tier club the last three years after departing Kotoko under a cloud as his side have failed to secure promotion as expected.

The financial struggles of the club's owner, Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1 of defunct Menzgold is well documented and the team is suffering from their owner's financial malaise.

According to the coach, salaries for players and staff has become a very big problem with the team struggling to stay afloat amidst the financial turmoil.

“I’m looking forward to other opportunities because per what is going on at the club, I don’t think it will help my career, so let see what happens in the coming days,” he said on Angel TV.

“Financially, our boss got a problem, no salary and others. At the point in time, I disguised myself to drive the team bus for training but all the same, it is part of life”

In spite of all the glaring challenges coach Michael Osei managed to keep the team afloat as they narrowly escaped relegation into the third tier from Zone II.

The 49 year old seems to have had enough and wants to quit the cash strapped club for a new project.

Osei left Kotoko four years ago where he rose from assistant coach to head coach before departing and won back to back Ghana Premier League titles as assistant to Masaud Didi Dramani.
