Ghana Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan has completed a loan move back to the United Arab Emirates with current league champions Al Ahli after leaving Arabian Gulf League side Al Ain last summer.

The Ghanaian striker left Al Ain for Chinese top tier side, Shanghai SIPG after four years with the UAE outfit.

The loan move to Al Ahli comes after the Ghanaian was reported to have failed a medical with Enghlish Championship club, Reading FC.

Gyan however denied failing the medicals suggesting the English side wanted him to compromise his participation for Ghana in the 2017 AFCON games.

Gyan replaces Senegalese forward, Moussa Sow at Al Ahli who won the league and finished nine points ahead of Gyan's former club Al Ain.

The move is believed to have been facilitated by Al Ahli coach Cosmin Olaroiu, Gyan's coach of two seasons at Al Ain.

The 30 year old could not display his goal scoring prowess at the Chinese side due to recurrent injuries.

He succeeded in scoring a mere seven goals in thirteen matches last season.
