Hearts of Oak have been given a major boost ahead of the start of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League following Cosmos Dauda's return to training after four months layoff due to injury.

The former Tudu Mighty Jet goal poacher suffered an ankle injury in the second round of last season and have been on the treatment room for four months.

Dauda who was the club’s top scorer with 14 goals last season returned to the club’s training ground on Thursday at the Legon Ajax Park.

The 22 year-old forward  missed the GHALCA SIX competition because of the injury but he looked in good physical shape when he showed up for training. He started slowly before joining the full group and even played an intense half-hour session, leading the attack together with Bright Lukman.

The domestic top-flight championship has been tentatively billed to start on January 21.
