COVID-19: Death toll hits 416; active cases now 5,358

As at Sunday, January 31, 2021, Coronavirus death toll in the country has reached 416. This was confirmed in President Akufo-Addo' COVID-19 update number 23.
Active cases also stand at 5, 358, the President disclosed.
Mr Akufo-Addo said one hundred and seventy-two (172) patients are said to be severely ill and are being monitored at health facilities across the country.
“Our hospitals have become full and we have had to reactivate our isolation centers”, the President said.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases has more than doubled, from a little over one thousand, nine hundred (1900), two weeks ago, to five thousand three hundred and fifty-eight (5,358).
All 16 regions in Ghana have active cases with the nation’s capital leading with over 2,000 cases.
