David Atanga stars in Wolfsberger AC's stunning comeback win

Ghanaian forward David Atanga played a crucial role in Wolfsberger AC's extraordinary comeback victory in the Austrian Bundesliga, turning a 3-0 deficit into a thrilling 4-3 win over Grazer AK at the Merkur-Arena on Saturday.

Grazer AK dominated the first half, with Daniel Maderner opening the scoring in the 8th minute and assisting Tio Cipot three minutes later. Marco Gantschnig added a third to give the hosts a commanding lead before halftime.

Atanga entered the fray in the 64th minute, replacing Dejan Zukic, and made an immediate impact. He converted a penalty in the 80th minute to spark Wolfsberger's revival.

Angelo Gattermayer followed with a goal three minutes later, narrowing the gap. The equalizer came in stoppage time through an own goal by Michael Lang, and Gattermayer completed the dramatic comeback moments later, finishing a move set up by defender Nicolas Wimmer.

Former WAFA SC player Emmanuel Agyeman also contributed to Wolfsberger's resurgence, coming on at the start of the second half.

Atanga's composed performance under pressure highlighted his growing influence in the Wolfsberger squad, as they celebrated an unforgettable victory on the road.
