Deportivo Alaves handed major boost ahead of Huesca clash as Mubarak Wakaso returns to training

Deportivo Alaves have been handed a major boost ahead of sunday’s League clash against Huesca with the return of key midfielder Mubarak Wakaso to training.

The Ghanaian international exercised today with the group and, barring complications, everything suggests that he will be available for the game against the La Liga newcomers  at the Mendizorroza.

The hard-tackling who picked up a shoulder injury on October 28, in the win against Villarreal is expected to feature this weekend as the basque side look to bounce back from the disappointing defeat to Eibar.

Wakaso’s return is also great news for Kwesi Appiah and his Black Stars squad as they gear up for the must-win 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on November 18.

The Black Stars occupy third spot on the Group F standings with three points, four adrift of leaders Kenya and one behind Ethiopia but with two outstanding games.
