Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Robert Ahomka-Lindsay has entreated diasporans to stop complaining about things not working in Ghana and rather bring on board the skills and knowledge they have acquired in their years abroad.

Speaking at the Diaspora Homecoming Summit at the Accra International Conference Centre, Thursday, the deputy minister said, “nobody likes whiners, people that spend all the time whining all the time really get on people’s nerves so stop whining”.

He also entreated them to spend time to understand the process and avoid taking shortcuts as that will only put them at a disadvantage.

He said “there is never such a thing as a shortcut. Shortcut inevitably leads to long journey and headache… if you tell somebody I’ve got two weeks only to do something, … they will take your money and chop it”.

Mr Ahomka-Lindsay assured the diasporans that “the government understand the need and what you bring, the brain gain, to this business because what we require more than anything else today in this country is those that have the experience in some of these industries that we have not had in this country to make sure we succeed”.
