Zone One leaders Nsoatreman FC will lock horns with Baffuor Soccer Academy on Match Day 8 of the Division One League at the Twumasi Sports complex on Sunday.

The leaders come into the game fresh from a vital away win against Nkoranza Warriors on Match Day 7 – a result that kept them at the apex of the League log with 17 points – one point richer than second place Tamale City Football Club.

The leaders have had an incredible journey in this seasons League after winning five and drawing two in 7 League matches and hold the record as one of the two unbeaten sides in the Zone as they share that enviable record with third placed Young Apostles who travel to Tamale to play Tamale City on Sunday.

Samuel Ofori scored the only goal against Nkoranza Warriors to maintain their unbeaten run and to keep at the top of the table.

The skillful attacker has scored 6 goals and shares the top spot of the goal scorers chart with Mbosan Sulle (Kintampo FC), Mohammed Yahaya (Tamale City), and Emmanuel Yeboah of Young Apostles. His goals will prove vital for Nsoatreman in the game against new boys Baffuor Soccer Academy who are 8th in the table with 9 points.

Elsewhere in Tamale, Tamale City will play Young Apostles in a battle between the second and third teams in the League table. The Tamale lads would fight for a win to keep the pressure on leaders Nsoatreman whiles Apostles aim to preserve their unbeaten run in the League.

Two former Premier League sides Berekum Arsenal and Bofoakwa Tano will face off in a cagey contest at the Golden City Park in Berekum. The Gunners came very close to staging a Premier League comeback last season but for the brilliance of Real Tamale United. Their visitors Bofoakwa finished second in the Zone but have performed below par this term as they sit 6th in the table with 10 points after 7 matches.
