The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it does not expect the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to fulfill all promises it made to Ghanaians within six months it has been in power.

National Orgainser of the party, Kofi Adams however observes that current signs clearly show that the party will not be able to meet its target within the 4-year mandate.

On TV3’s Newday on Monday June 12, 2017, he said it is based on these indicators the party is concluding that the NPP cannot deliver; explaining that the opposition is not judging them by the number of months the government has been in power.

“They defended the 110 ministers of state and told Ghanaians the number was required to fix the economy when we told them the burden that will bring on the national purse. We are not expecting them to fulfill all their campaign promises in six months but we expect to see some improvements. You don’t give birth to child and after six months you expect him to walk. You must at least see the child trying to crawl, later crawl and then begin walking. In the case of the NPP, the fundamental and basic things we can use to predict that things are going to happen are glaring”, he observed.
