Dr. Lawrence writes: Nana 11 vs 35: Akufo Addo slept

I have listened to most political shows in both Ghana and abroad and none seems to discuss the deep sleep of the President of Ghana at the Russian-African Summit in Sochi, Russia. Ghanaians have described the PDS as the biggest scandal to hit Ghana since 1957 but I think the sleep of Nana Addo on the job has become the biggest scandal of all time. Let me tell you why:

When Nana Akufo Addo was sleeping and dreaming on the job, the Russian President was speaking. Imagine if the Russian President had said they were going to invade Ghana on December 1, 2019 but if the President of Ghana were here, he should raise his hand so the invasion would not happen.

He would be looking in the crowd to see the hand of the President of Ghana raised. In the absence of that, Russian was going to invade Ghana on December 1. Now because Nana Akufo Addo was sleeping at the time, the resolution would have passed and Ghana would be bond to it. I just want to open your eyes to what could happen to you because your President went and slept at an international summit, creating an international embarrassment.

A decision was made to change the guarantee of PDS from bank guarantee to insurance guarantee. That was the first scandal of this PDS fraud. So now we know when Dr. Bawumiah was giving those instructions, Nana Addo, the President was sleeping. The instructions by Dr. Bawumiah has led in part to the cancellation of PDS and that has caused Ghana to lose $190 million and counting. Why can’t the minority in Parliament start an impeachment process against Dr. Bawumiah or is it too early to start that? This is not something Ghanaians should take it lightly.

So now we know why after the Ameri fraud went bad, the President sent his nephew, Gabby Otchere-Darko to tell us the President was misled? It has become very clear that when the Ameri deal was being negotiated, the President was sleeping. That allowed some “ghosts” to go and do the negotiations. As you read this script, we don’t know who misled the President and how the person did it, but we have been forced to accept the outcome.

The President went to Kumasi and dissociated himself from the Comprehensive Sexuality Education when in actual fact, it was captured in his 2019 Budget Statement and Ghana Education Service had approved. It is very clear that when the meeting to adopt the CSE in our schools was going on, the President was sleeping. The President has slept on basically everything that was so important to this country. Clearly, he is not in charge of his government.

My fellow Ghanaians, anyone who sleeps on the job, when caught especially on camera, is fired. The President is not above the law. He was caught on camera sleeping on the job in Sochi, Russia. Impeaching him on this will make him popular. What we rather need to do on December 07, 2020 is that, we should use our thump to tell the President that he is too old for the job he is doing. The time has come for him to retire and you are using your thump to permanently retire him. Nana Akufo-Addo is tired and needs some rest. The international embarrassment to our country so far, is enough.
