Raphael Dwamena has revealed a conversation with Emmanuel Boateng as a key factor in his decision to sign for Spanish La Liga side Levante.

The Ghanaian international penned a four-year contract with The Frogs from Swiss club FC Zurich this summer.

The 23 year old forward is expected to partner compatriot Emmanuel Boateng to spearhead Levante’s attack in the 2018/2019 season.

Dwamena netted 21 goals in 50 games for the Zurich-based outfit, having moved to the Swiss outfit last year from Austria.

"Before coming here I had heard a lot about the club. I had talked with Boateng and he told me that it is a team that helps African players a lot. I had very good feelings about Levante and from that moment I was convinced to come here. Playing with Boateng can help me," he admitted.

"I was able to go to CSKA but I already had the Levante offer. I spoke with my agent and I wanted to go to a club that gave me the possibility to take this step in my career and had very good feelings with Levante."
