The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Acheampong, has through the Kokrokoo Charities Foundation (KCF), donated two incubators to the Kwahu Government Hospital in Atibie and the Koforidua Holy Family Hospital.

The move according to the Minister, will help save the lives of babies who are born preterm.

"UNICEF statistics reveal that about one hundred and forty thousand (140,000) children are born prematurely in Ghana annually, and over eight thousand (8,000) of these children meet their untimely demise before thirty (30) days.

"So I believe with this humble donation, we can protect our vulnerable and precious little ones." He said.

The Minister also donated a total quantity of twenty-five (25) bags of rice to the Holy Family Hospital "to support efforts in contributing to the cause set fort".

Kokrokoo Charities Foundation is a social intervention program led by award-winning journalist, Kwami Sefa Kayi to help fight major societal problems in Ghana.

The Foundation has launched “Project 100”, as part of its humanitarian effort to supply a total quantity of one hundred (100) incubators across hospitals in Ghana.

The medical staff at the beneficiary hospitals extended their appreciation to Hon. Seth Frimpong for the gesture and called on other individuals to do same.
