Bundesliga side Eintracht Franfurt are bracing themselves for the loss of Ghanaian international Kevin Prince Boateng who is widely considered a ‘leader’ in the dressing room as he edges closer to a Serie A return.

Boateng has reportedly agreed a three year contract with Sassuolo ahead of the 2018/2019 European season.

Frankfurt Sporting Director Bruno Hübner admits;  "He is a real personality, has attracted the attention in critical phases, of course he is a real loss for us.  Especially on the pitch he will be missed”

According to 31-year-old midfielder, the reason for his departure is the proximity to his family, who live in Milan.

It  sounds like a familiar story a year ago when Boateng made the move to Frankfurt from the Canary Island of Gran Canaria in Las Palmas.

The Ghanaian enjoyed a fruitful campaign at Frankfurt last season, clinching the German Cup- The Eagles’ first silverware in three decades.
