A mother and her teenage son have been killed by a truck loaded with onion, which veered off its course and smashed a building.

The incident occurred at Duampompo in the Ejisu-Juaben municipality on Monday, January 9.

A son of the deceased, Sumaila Sali, told the media that his mum, Ramatu Sali, and brother, Lateef Sali, together with other family members, were all asleep when the Accra-bound truck run into the building.

Ramatu’s Sali’s husband was not at home at the time of the incident as he had gone to the mosque to pray in the early hours of that day.
