Veteran journalist, Kwasi Pratt says Ghanaians will not entertain any form of intimidation or abuse from any individual or group before, during and after this year's presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, vigilante groups whose intentions are to cause mayhem in the December polls should have a rethink since their plans will not make any positive impact on the nation.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, Mr. Pratt said it will be in the interest of all Ghanaians to observe an election that is not characterized with chaos and violence.

He has thus, cautioned persons who wield offensive and destructive weapons on elections days aimed at putting fear and panic in the voters to desist from the act.

"Those wield guns or wear masks to put fear in electorates during elections must put an end to it. Nobody would be allowed to intimidate anyone in this country", said Kwasi Pratt.

He, however, advised that politicians and their supporters must be ready to accept the results of the 7th December elections.

"We're convinced the outcome of this year's election will be accepted by all. Whoever is declared winner - being Nana Akufo-Addo, John Mahama or Ivor Greenstreet, everyone should understand that it's the clear reflection of what Ghanaians want. People who'll mare this elections with violence will regret their actions", his comment further cautioned.

Ghana, known for its democratic credentials and peaceful transitions, is heading into its 8th presidential and parliamentary elections since 4th Republic.

The presidential race is mainly between incumbent President, Nana Akufo-Addo of the NPP and Mr. John Manama, opposition NDC's candidate and former President of Ghana.
