Ghanaian defender Eric Owusu is close to sealing a transfer move to Zambian giants Zanaco FC.

The club has offered the player a two year contract with an option to renew upon expiration which he is currently considering and it is very likely that he will accept the offer and continue his career in the Southern Part of Africa.

He will be joining the Zambian side as a free agent after departing fellow Zambian club Buildcon with the expiration of his contract.

Owusu is versatile and is adept at playing in key areas in the team and is expected to undergo his medical examination on Wednesday before completing the move.

He is currently in Ghana is expected to leave to complete his move to the Zambian giants.

The player made 33 appearances in the Zambian Super League last season where he scored two goals and provided 8 assists in the process.

His new club Zanaco finished second in the Zambian league last season and will play in the CAF Champions League next season.
