Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association(GHALCA), Mr Cudjoe Fianoo has urged clubs to do away with hooliganism as the season is about to start.

He also cautioned clubs to stop inciting their supporters to manhandle referees when decisions do not go their way and should see referees as humans and are falible.

Our league has in the past been fraught with cases of referee molestation and fan violence after home teams accused referees of cheating them.

Speaking in an interview with Hello FM, GHALCA wished all the clubs well as the 2020/2021 Ghana football season begins on Saturday 14th November with Aduana vs Hearts the opener.

"We(Ghalca) wish all the clubs the best of luck in the upcoming season. We plead with them to follow all the Covid-19 protocols."

"Again, we should eschew hooliganism to see our game progress and develop. The way clubs handle referees should be checked as well. We should understand that they are also humans and can make mistakes."

"All the clubs should fight for the title and I think the FA has instituted a department for referees and I know things will work well," he added.
