European clubs could demand the immediate return of their Ghana players after cancelled match with Sierra Leone.

The back-to-back AFCON qualifier, originally slated for Thursday and Monday, was called off  after Sierra Leone failed to meet a Fifa ultimatum.

Meanwhile the Black Stars have line-up a friendly against Asante Kotoko on Friday, October 12, at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

But the game might be without some star names as their parent clubs will demand their release following the recent development.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will therefore use the opportunity to try out some of his fringe players as he continues to build a strong core for the future.
