Former Ghana FA president Nana Sam Brew-Butler has lavished praises on 'brilliant' Andre Ayew as the best Black Stars player of the current generation.

The Ebusua Dwarfs chief claims Ayew's professionalism and discipline stands tall among his international teammates.

Andre has been linked with a sensational switch to West Ham United after an explosive debut season in England with Swansea City.

The rumour mill has constantly linked the Ghana international away from the Swans with the Hammers believed to be closing in on a mouth-watering £20 million pounds deal.

“If I have to single out anybody, it definitely must be Andre Ayew because he is such a brilliant lad. When he got into the team in 2008, he was probably a bit too young and didn’t make much impact," he told Accra-based Class FM

"But for him to have got over all the things that were said about him and become the player he is now is a remarkable achievement.

“Although his dad is arguably the best player the country has seen, you could say his rise to his current level has nothing to do with his dad.

"He is also a very disciplined footballer, in my opinion, and also leads by example on and off the field. He is a model professional.”
