Ex-Ghana international, Felix Aboagye has urged the locally based players to fully mature ibefore traveling for greener pastures.

In an open forum with his followers on Facebook, the former Al Ahly and Zamalek striker says Ghanaian players are in a hurry to leave the local league without properly shaping their career.

Ghanaian players have often fizzled out just a year or two after leaving the local league to play abroad.

Numerous examples can be cited in the last two years where a chunk of Hearts of Oak players left the club in bizarre circumstances but some struggled to command regular shirts outside.

Samudeen Ibrahim was touted as the next big shot for the Phobians but he left the club with the idea of seeking greener pastures.

Samudeen has since returned home to play in the Division One League.

Speedster, Patrick Razak left Hearts of Oak to join Guinean club, Horoya but could not make more than 10 appearances.

Razak is back in Ghana with an aim of relaunching his sinking career.

Other examples include Thomas Abbey, Augustine Okrah and host of others who have returned home after unsuccessful stints outside Ghana.

Felix Aboagye played 5 seasons with Al Ahly where he won about 10 trophies.

He also had a season’s stint with Zamalek SC before leaving to play in Kuwait and India.
