Executive Council member who also doubles as the CEO of Ashantigold SC, Frederick Acheampong has been chosen as the leader of delegation for the Black Meteors team that is currently in Egypt for the African U-23 Afcon.

His first assignment as a member of the Executive Council will be to manage the team's day to day affairs as they start the tournament Friday.

The Ashgold CEO has been tasked by the GFA boss to ensure the team gets whatever help its needed in other to help get the needed results in the Pharaoh-land.

Ghana will open the tournament with a game against Cameroon Friday 8th November at 8pm GMT at the Cairo International Stadium.

The last three teams in the tournament will automatically qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games in Japan.

Ghana last qualified for the Olympic games in 2004 in Athens some 15 years ago.
