Contrary to what has been made to understand that the people of Bono Region expressed true satisfaction about the policies of the Akufo-Addo led government, it has emerged that the Ghana Education Service (GES) staged the placards displayed during the President's visit to the Jarman North District.

President Akufo-Addo recently toured the Bono region where he inspected ongoing projects and cut sod for new ones.

A document sighted by Ghanaguardian.com reveals, prior to the president's visit to the Jarman North, the District Education Directorate wrote a letter directing headmasters of both public and private schools in Sampa and its environs to display approved messages on placards.

The letter, dated October 7, 2019, and signed by the Head of HRMD Unit, Mr. Limam Yakubu said, the directive was to "project the achievement and policies of the government".

Per the GES directives, some of the messages to be displayed on placards were: You are welcome Mr. President, Jarman North welcomes Akufo-Addo, We appreciate your policies, Free SHS waves you, You have restored Nursing Training Allowance, You have restored Teacher Training Allowance, One HOT-MEAL for day students, College of Education converted into Degree Awarding Institutions, NABCO Programme instituted, Increased SHS intake (Double Track) among others.
